They’re distant cousins, related through Meghan’s father Thomas and Harry’s great-granny, the Queen Mother, reports the Mail on Sunday.

The families share a common ancestor, Ralph Bowes, a High Sheriff of County Durham in England in the 15th century.

The full family tree shows that the couples link date fifteen generations back in time.

 

3.She starred in the Tv  series ‘Suits’.n July 2011, Markle joined the cast of the USA Network show Suits, playing Rachel Zane. The character began as a paralegal and eventually became an attorney. Markle completed work on that series’ seventh season in late 2017.

 

4.She has been married before: In 2011 , Meghan Markle married actor Trevor Engleson with whom she’d been in a relationship for seven years. They ended up divorcing in 2013 and it has been reported that Meghan isn’t seeking any financial compensation from her ex.

 

5.Meghan Markle has quite a diverse family background and identifies being biracial. Her mother, Doria Radlan is African American and her father, Tom Markle is Dutch Irish.

Describing her ancestry, Markle said: “My dad is Caucasian and my mom is African American. I’m half black and half white. … I have come to embrace this and say who I am, to share where I’m from, to voice my pride in being a strong, confident, mixed-racewoman.” Her mother is descended from African Americans enslaved in Georgia, and her father from DutchEnglish, and Irish settlers.[14][15] Among her father’s ancestors are Captain Christopher Hussey, King Robert I of ScotlandSir Philip Wentworthand his wife, Mary Clifford, a descendant of King Edward III of England
